Baby Alive Learns To Potty Doll

A few weeks ago when I went Black Friday shopping, and this was one of the toys selling like hotcakes. The Baby Alive; Learns to Potty doll, I would have normally found very odd as a parent (note: I don’t have kids), because who really needs a fake baby that pees and poops when there’s tons of parents out there that have kids that really do that?

Kids love this talking, peeing and pooping baby doll though, complete with a potty set and accessories.

I came upon the last three Baby Alive dolls while doing my Black Friday Christmas shopping at Wal-Mart and immediately called up my boyfriend to see if this was something his daughter wanted for Christmas. In the middle of making the phone call two women come up and grab the last two, so I immedialy I would just go ahead, grab the last doll and get it. When people are swooping them up that fast you know it’s a hot item.

I paid $39.99 for the doll at Wal-Mart, a man in line offered me $10 to give him the doll, and I found an even better deal on Amazon for $17.99.

For my own entertainment, I kept pushing her bracelet all the way home to listen to all the noises she makes, any adult would probably find the authentic peeing sounds a kicker!

SIGG Water Bottles; Stylish & Eco Friendly

As everyone knows, drinking water is good for you. Not many people would agree because water…is just water. My Dad buys the flavored water all the time and once in a while when I’m feeling frisky I will get a box of water flavoring packets to enhance my water drinking experience. Here’s another thing that will look good and be environmentally friendly for you:

SIGG Water Bottles.

Not only are they stylish looking but it saves you money on buying bottled water and it’s good for the environment because you can reuse them, thus making less plastic waste to throw into your local trash mountain aka dump.

I can’t wait to get one of these to take to the gym with me. The prices range in the $20’s but if you compare that to how many bottles of water you drink in a week, your saving a bundle.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I don’t buy much DVD’s because it’s just honestly not in my budget these days. I am, however, going to buy this Indiana Jones movie when it comes out…for my Dad that is, and then I’m going to steal it to watch it, and then give it back.

I’m a great daughter aren’t i?

I saw this movie when it come out in theatre’s and I loved it so I will probably eventually buy it. It’s action packed, star’s a much older, but still good looking Harrison Ford and another great face to see in the movie is Shia LaBeouf. Keep in mind, I’m not into too much of that violent action, but this was just good old action, so it was right down my alley on the entertainment factor.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” will be released on DVD October 14, 2008 for sale on Amazon for $18.99

Booking Through Thursday

What was the last book you bought?

Marley & Me: Life and Love With the World’s Worst Dog

by Josh Grogan

We had a power outage a few weeks ago, and I finally cracked open this book and started reading it because I really did not have many options in the entertainment department.

Name a book you have read MORE than once

Kissed By An Angel

by Elizabeth Chandler

It was part of a trilogy book set. One night, I read all three books in one day and then read all three book again a week later. I loved those books.

The books were about a girl and guy who fell in love. The girl was a firm believer of angels and then when the guy dies she loses her faith in angels and when the guy comes back as an angel, she cannot see him. It was a little similar to “Ghost”

Has a book ever fundamentally changed the way you see life? If yes, what was it?

Embraced By The Light

by Betty J. Eadie

It’s a true story on how Betty has a near death experience and she talks about it and how it brought her closer to God. It was very inspirational!

Camera Critters #24

This is turning out to be my favorite time of the week, here’s my Camera Critter’s meme for the weekend:

Oso In The Dark

We lost power last week for a few days due to the after effects of Hurricane Ike wind’s coming through the Ohio Valley. Oso (my dog), Smoke & Rowdy (the ferrets) stayed in the room with us throughout it all.

This was probably the longest we’ve had the ferrets in their playpen, especially since the box that the playpen came in specifically said that it was not suppose to be used as a cage.

For those that want to know, you can get the ferret playpen for $39.95 here.
