About Me
I’m known on the web as Maruth. I’m a 25-year old Filipino-American city girl from Ohio. I am a happy animal lover of three dogs, two ferrets & two hermit crabs. I’ve been with my boyfriend for the past 4 years and we live together along with his 6 year old daughter whom I love as my own. I love designing websites and graphics, but most of all I love shopping. I have my Associates degree in Computer Applications and am currently getting ready to go back to college for my Bachelor’s Degree. This of course is not an easy…or cheap task, which leaves little money left after bills get paid, worst of all…I love shopping. Being broke and loving shopping are sad circumstances to deal with.
These frugal time in my life has turned me into a major bargain shopper. I rarely buy anything for full price, I would rather search through the clearance rack and most times when you go with me shopping, I spend a lot of time comparing prices and figuring out the best deals and what I can get more bang for my buck. It has almost turned into a sport now-a-days.
To keep a happy medium between saving money for college and still being able to do what I love (shopping) I started this website.
I started this site as a way for people like me in my situation to still shop for the things they need and even buy the things they want without straying away from their budget. I also give my honest opinion and reviews on products that I buy and products that people I know have bought and recommended to me.
On top of reviewing products, I will also give out cost effective food recipes, and give advice for starting and/or maintaining websites, blogs and help on how to promote yourself on the web and make money off of it. Check out my Resources page for tips, tricks, on ideas already compiled on this site. It will grow everyday so stay tuned to me.

The website domain was registered in August, 2008 but I’ve been blogging about bargain shopping for as long as I can remember on my other website, therefore you will find posts from as early as 2001. Feel free to backtrack! Thanks for stopping by!
